Having secured Champions League football right at the end of last season, Tottenham have an advantage over many clubs on the transfer market.

That includes Arsenal, who have to make do with a spot in the Europa League, meaning players might be more interested in moving to Spurs than the Gunners going forward.

One of those could be Victor Osimhen, as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his Tottenham team ahead of a schedule that will include elite European football.

The Nigeria international has been a target for Arsenal for some time now, who have joined the likes of Manchester United in keeping an eye on his situation at Napoli.

The Serie A side are asking for a small fortune to let their star go, but thanks to extra funds, Tottenham have a good chunk of cash to play with this summer.

This is pointed out journalist Lorenzo Amuso when speaking to Calciomercato.it she he was asked about the future of the striker in Naples.

He said: “Conte, thanks to the Champions League qualification, has obtained great guarantees on the transfer market, so we can expect really great things from Tottenham. Among the names, there is Osimhen of Napoli. Tottenham is not the only club that has taken an interest. Arsenal have already presented a €60m offer, rejected by De Laurentiis.”

Amuso then goes onto talk about how Manchester United are planning a small revolution, meaning they could come knocking, while Newcastle also have the money required to meet the demands of Napoli.

However, it’s clear that if all of those sides, including Arsenal, came forward, Tottenham would have the advantage of being able to offer Champions League football next season.

Furthermore, they also have Antonio Conte at the helm, whom Amuso praised highly.

He added: “Although Conte himself posed a big question mark about his future until the last day, the Tottenham fans welcomed him very well and supported him all the time. He is highly regarded in the United Kingdom, he enjoys an excellent press. With the qualification in the Champions League, there were even more crowds for him.”
