Sabah claim Galatasaray have rejected Tottenham Hotspur’s offer for Bruma, which is believed to be in the region of €15m.

Galatasaray are currently in discussions with Bruma over a new contract, but the Turkish giants will consider a Tottenham offer above €20m for the Portuguese winger.

The 22-year old is expected to sign a new contract, with the incentive his wage will increase to €3.5m a season. Galatasaray are also looking for a release clause of around €40m but Bruma’s manager Catio Balde believes this fee is too high and wants it reducing.

Galatasaray have just signed PAOK winger Garry Rodrigues and have recently recalled troubled Yasin Öztekin back into team.

Galatasaray therefore look covered in the wide positions, but they are still keen keep hold of Bruma at least until the end of the season.

However, with Tottenham links to Bruma growing Cim Bom might struggle to keep their prized asset at the club.

Last week it was reported Brad Friedel is ready to represent Tottenham in order to sign Bruma, after Daniel Levy gave him the go ahead.

But that’s difficult to believe, as we explained at the time: ‘Friedel is currently an ambassador for Tottenham in his home country and the former USA international is allegedly ready to use his good connections at Galatasaray to land Bruma for the Premier League side. Friedel played for Galatasaray and his involvement could be a good decision by Levy.

The Friedel claims are certainly interesting, but maybe hard to believe. Having only played 30 games for Galatasaray, in the 95/96 season, it would take a big leap of faith to believe he could help Tottenham more than 20 years later.’

Mauricio Pochettino is constantly linked with wingers, it seems to be his weakness. After Clinton N’Jie was sent back to Marseille, Georges-Kévin N’Koudou arrived in his place.

Still, Tottenham are linked with further moves for wingers. Different amounts have been claimed in Turkey for a potential Spurs bid, the claims are consistent at all.
