AC Milan star Pierre Kalulu has decided to change agency to Jonathan Barnett’s Stellar group, which may come of interest to Tottenham.
Calciomercato.it report that the defender has decided to swap agents, having grown disappointed with the representation he was receiving from former agent Vlado Lemic.
It’s a choice the website say is ‘by no means trivial’ as it could ‘substantially change’ the centre-back’s fate moving forwards.
He is yet to agree to terms on an extension to his current deal, with his current contract set to expire in 2025 and Milan keen to avoid him entering that dangerous final two-year period.
Lemic had been working on it but the last meeting between him and the Italian giants was in May, when a ‘mutual willingness’ to renew was expressed but no substantial breakthrough found.
On the contrary there was some distance between two parties and that led to exit talks, with Tottenham named as one of the player’s suitors in the summer transfer window.
Now, it will have to be seen what Barnett’s intentions for his new client are.
While Stellar do not have a bad relationship with Milan by any means, he could also be eyeing up a move.
And Tottenham would certainly make sense given his relationship with the club, which has always been strong due to his work with Gareth Bale, while defender Ben Davies is also represented by Stellar.
Thus, the super-agent and Spurs have a good understanding of each other and given the Premier League side’s reported interest in Kalulu in the summer, it would be strange if a conversation wasn’t had at some point.
