Tanguy Ndombélé’s situation at Galatasaray doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
Even though the Turkish side is on international break, the local media suddenly shows up with a story slamming the Tottenham Hotspur player’s spell there.
Outlet TV100 features a piece claiming the deal was a complete ‘fiasco’, as the investment made by Galatasaray was never really worth it.
Ndombélé was loaned by Tottenham at the start of the season, and the Istanbul side had ‘great hopes’ that he would have a good spell there, adding an option to buy in the deal to potentially make the move permanent.
Now TV100 makes it clear that following a disappointing season, Galatasaray will not trigger the €15m clause to sign him in the summer.
It’s said that the midfielder ‘cannot be physically ready’ to play for the club, and when he’s been on the pitch, he’s been ‘disappointing’.
Ndombélé has managed to make 25 appearances for Galatasaray this season, but hasn’t had the chance to start in a few months now, and there’s a certainty setting in that he’ll be going back to Spurs in the summer.
It will then be up to Tottenham to find a new solution, as he has a contract there until 2025.
