Last weekend, Akşam reported Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs in the picture for Fenerbahçe’s İsmail Yüksek.
The Yellow Canaries have won all their games this season and the midfielder has been an integral part of their starting lineup. His fine displays haven’t gone unnoticed and he’s caught the attention of other clubs, including Spurs.
That’s according to A Spor, who state the 24-year-old is ‘closely followed’ by Tottenham.
It’s claimed the north London club have ‘stepped in’ to sign the Turkey international and that’s because of Ange Postecoglou.
A Spor state the former Celtic manager likes Yüksek’s style ‘very much’ and has already started detailed research on him. This seems to be the reason the Tottenham officials are planning to watch the player live when his side take on Trabzonspor on November 4th.
Yüksek has a deal lasting until 2027 and the report states he aims to help his club ‘make money’, if he were to leave Fenerbahçe. Apart from Tottenham, the Turkish midfielder has been linked with Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen.
Operating as a defensive midfielder, he’s scored one goal and registered two assists from 15 games this season.
