In the past few hours, several stories in the English media have been claiming that Richarlison was one of those responsible for Antonio Conte’s sacking at Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s been claimed that the Brazilian, along with Cristian Romero, told the club board they would not stay at Spurs in case the coach was kept in charge.
It turns out that as Goal Brasil features a new story on the situation, they report that Richarlison never made that ‘request’.
The report claims that even though the relationship with the manager wasn’t ‘the best’, people close to the player ‘deny’ that he never asked Tottenham to sack him.
It’s many times claimed that Spurs’ squad didn’t have a good understanding with Conte. Regarding Richarlison, Goal says they ‘didn’t have any closeness in their daily coexistence’.
It’s claimed that Conte would never listen to tactical suggestions from the squad, and there was a feeling the phyisical preparation of players was below average.
Still according to Goal, it’s reported that both players and the board felt like there was no ‘mood’ for the manager to stay in charge.
