Harry Kane has warned Tottenham he will leave at the end of the season if they don’t qualify for the Champions League, and Real Madrid is his preferred destination.

That’s according to El Desmarque, who are once again pushing the idea that a move to the Spanish giants could be on the cards next year.

Yesterday we covered a report from the website that stated Tottenham and Madrid were in negotiations over Kane, with a €120m + Karim Benzema proposal put forward by Spurs.

We didn’t believe that for a second, mainly because Tottenham will never sell Kane if they have a choice and, well, this is the umpteenth mega big plus player transfer rumour El Desmarque have done in recent weeks.

The website are doubling down on their assertions over Kane, though, and now have somehow got his side of things in there.

They once again say that Florentino Pérez is negotiating with Tottenham to take Kane to the Bernabeu at the end of the season as they believe he is at the ideal age to arrive at the club.

Kane, for his part, has seemingly encouraged them after telling Tottenham he will leave ‘as soon as the campaign ends’ if they haven’t qualified for the Champions League.

He’s explicitly named Madrid as his preferred destination and doesn’t want to go to another Premier League team as he believes that would be a ‘betrayal’ to Spurs.

How Tottenham have reacted to this threat isn’t mentioned, although given they have Kane locked into a deal until 2024, it’s easy to imagine they laughed it off and went to sort out their real problems, like sacking Mauricio Pochettino.
