Tottenham star Moussa Sissoko has been speaking to French website Foot Mercato, after joining his national teammates for the upcoming matches.
The Frenchman missed the last three games for Tottenham due to suspension, but apart from than that has had a solid start to his career at White Hart Lane.
Sissoko was asked about Mauricio Pochettino’s playing style. The 27-year-old believes the Argentine is a ‘very good coach’, and is always in touch with him.
He said: “We have very good relations. When I signed this summer, we both talked. He talks to me a lot. As this is a new system, another way to play, he explains how to play, what he expects of me. For me he is a very good coach.”
Sissoko added Pochettino demands a lot of hard work and intensity during the game, and has done ‘extraordinary’ work at his previous clubs.
He added: “We see what he has managed to do in the past with Espanyol, and after that Southampton and Tottenham. That is really something extraordinary. It is true that his work requires a lot of intensity in the game, but it pays off. In view of the results, what he does is good.”
It’s not surprising to hear Sissoko speak highly of his new boss, as several players have done previously.
The Tottenham boss is believed to be one of the best modern managers in Europe, and has done a tremendous job in building Tottenham since he arrived at the club.
