Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton sent scouts to the game between Stevenage and Plymouth Argyle, according to the Plymouth Herald via Scouts Attending. The two clubs have already this season been seen at the same games, as they look to bring in potential signings.
The Plymouth Herald have confirmed the two Premier League sides were on the scouting list to see Plymouth win 2-1 on Saturday, and they were joined by other clubs including Stoke City, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Arsenal. EFL clubs Brighton, Brentford and reading were also present at the game.
The have been no reports who Southampton and Tottenham were watching at the weekend, but it’s been reported they are seeing what young talent is being produced in the lower leagues. It’s also been revealed Southampton have been regular visors to Plymouth games in this campaign.
Tottenham and Southampton scouts have appeared to follow each other around since Maurico Pochettino moved to Spurs, and this is just the latest example of many.
