As Tottenham Hotspur move more seriously to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa, it appears the Serie A side see it as a chance to push for more money.
Originally the price was expected to be around €25-30m, potentially a little less. Indeed, €25-30m is what the player’s talkative agent said was the asking price, and that was just this week.
Tottenham are thought to be offering a little below the €25m figure, but Genoa are now said to want a minimum of €30m, with some claims even pushing that as high as €35m.
La Repubblica report, via Napoli Magazine, that Tottenham and Genoa are set to have a transfer summit in the ‘next few hours’, as the parties look to come closer together.
Napoli are also keen but it’s not thought they’re going to entertain such figures, feeling the price has now gone too high.
Genoa clearly want to push Tottenham up a little higher and take advantage of their desperation to get a defender in quickly for Ange Postecoglou.
Expect bonuses to be involved.
