At the weekend, Sky Italia reported AC Milan are sorting out the bonuses aspect of a deal to sign Emerson Royal from Tottenham Hotspur.
Monday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport says the right-back is close to joining the Serie A side, but the deal is unlikely to be completed before Milan return to Italy from their pre-season tour of the US later this month.
The transfer for the 25-year-old is entering the ‘hottest week’ as Milan and Tottenham are ready to bridge the gap.
Milan are offering €15m plus bonuses, and the report states they need to revise the add-ons to convince the Premier League side.
There’s belief the operation should be sorted out in the next few days, considering Spurs are looking for the Brazilian’s replacement. This is backed up by MilanLive.it, who also say the deal can be concluded soon.
It’s claimed Paul Fonseca’s side are offering €15m plus bonuses, along with a probable percentage of a future sale at around 10%. The two clubs will discuss these details in the ‘next few hours’.
Emerson has a deal in place with Milan, and is waiting for Tottenham to give the final green light.
