Destiny Udogie arrived at Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, a year after they agreed a deal with Udinese for his transfer.
The left-back has managed a goal and two assists from 14 league games this season. He was quick to impress Ange Postecoglou and cement his place on the left side of defence.
Tottenham are set to reward the 21-year-old with a new deal and Calciomercato provide the latest on this situation.
In just a few months, the defender has already convinced everyone at the north London club of his qualities. His form for Tottenham also helped him make his debut for Italy in October.
Udogie’s current deal runs down until 2027 and Spurs’ idea has been to secure his long-term future by extending it until 2029, with an option for another year. The report adds the new contract will see him earn €2m net per year.
Tottenham seem to already have an agreement in place with the Italy international, which is why Calciomercato state they are set to announce his renewal in the ‘next few days’.
Juventus and Inter Milan showed interest before Udogie agreed to join Spurs and taking his recent form into account, Calciomercato claim the Serie A duo will regret having failed to sign him.
