Earlier today, we covered claims from the Netherlands that Feyenoord are becoming a bit annoyed with the Arne Slot to Tottenham Hotspur saga, and that an answer about the manager’s future is wanted on Wednesday.
That’s when the Dutchman’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, will have talks with the Eredivisie champions. SoccerNews say Feyenoord are set to present an ‘historic’ offer to Slot to make him stay.
However, should he want to move to Tottenham then they’re going to take ‘a hard line’. Spurs could end up being asked for an ‘absurd’ fee, with Slot costing them no less than €10m and his backroom staff pushing the figure even higher.
Feyenoord are said to have been irritated by Pimenta and all the market noise around their manager, not just relating to the latest interest from Tottenham.
He’s been linked to other clubs previously, such as Leeds United, and the whole thing appears to have annoyed the Dutch club.
Despite none of that having anything to do with Spurs, it could make their task more difficult, and more expensive, in the coming days and weeks.
