As Italian outlet Calcio Mercato writes about the impressive season that Weston McKennie is having for Juventus, they also report the interest he’s drawing from other clubs.

The American midfielder is at the Old Lady on a loan spell from Schalke 04, and his first months in Turin were enough to show that a permanent move is very likely.

However, a few Premier League sides, including Tottenham Hotspur, are already said to be attentive to his quick success in Italy.

Calcio Mercato writes that Spurs are looking for a ‘solution’ to replace Dele Alli, and McKennie could be this player.

The scenario is quite complicated, since Juventus have the option to buy him. They’ve already spent €4.5m on the loan, and now have to pay another €18.5m plus bonuses to keep him on a permanent basis.

So even though Tottenham may already be interested, they probably have to wait and see what will be of McKennie’s future. Calcio Mercato points out that other Premier League sides such as Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping an eye on him as well.
