Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are in the picture to sign Teun Koopmeiners in the summer.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who state the two English clubs are set to compete with Juventus for the Atalanta star.
It’s claimed both Tottenham and Manchester United are ‘moving’ to secure the 25-year-old’s services.
Koopmeiners believes it’s time for him to make a big move after this season. The Old Lady have already started contacts with his agent, Bart Baving, and sent signals to Atalanta.
It’s claimed La Dea won’t be convinced with a €40m fee and need at least €60m to part ways with the Netherlands international. This, coupled with competition from Spurs and the Red Devils, makes it complicated for Juventus.
The report states the Premier League duo are ‘moving’ and have ‘already knocked’ for the former AZ Alkmaar man, without making it clear if the contact was made with his agent, his club or both.
Manchester United’s interest seems to be driven by Erik ten Hag, who is a ‘huge admirer’ of his compatriot and would like to have him at his disposal.
Earlier today, Il Bianconero stated Atalanta value the Dutchman at €60m, linking Newcastle United at that time.
This feels like Atalanta are trying to set an expectation that Koopmeiners will cost at least €60m in the summer, and to do this, Tuttosport have dragged both Tottenham and Manchester United into the mix.
