Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are in the mix to sign OGC Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo, according to Nice-Matin.
The Premier League duo’s interest in the defender isn’t new as he was linked to Manchester United last summer and Spurs in the winter market. Back in January, RMC Sport reported the centre-back is highly regarded at Tottenham.
Nice-Matin say Todibo is among the Ligue 1 side’s players who could leave in the summer window.
The newspaper points out it ‘was hot’ with Ange Postecoglou’s side in January, despite them signing Radu Drăgușin in the same window. The north London club haven’t forgotten about the France international and will return for him.
Spurs have to be wary of competition from others as Manchester United, Atlético Madrid and a few Serie A sides are also chasing the former Barcelona man.
Todibo’s contract lasts until 2027 and the report states it would cost €40m to secure his services. It’s not mentioned if Tottenham or Manchester United are willing to pay that fee to sign him.
