Last week, Le10 Sport had a bit of an update on what was going on with Tottenham’s interest in Bordeaux’s Malcom.
According to the French website, Spurs were still keeping tabs on the Brazilian forward’s situation after his price had allegedly dropped to €40m.
There was a chance Daniel Levy could ‘concretely advance’ on the matter in the ‘coming weeks’, and an update from the same website suggests he’s done just that.
Le10 on Monday explain that Tottenham ‘reopened’ the contact with both the player’s entourage and Bordeaux’s board about a potential transfer.
The aim would be to pick up where they’d left things back in January, and open ‘concrete negotiations’ for a summer move.
However, Le10 also believe Chelsea have started keeping an eye on the Brazilian, but that would only be in case Eden Hazard left the club.
Since the chances of that happening are relatively low, we’ll push that to one side for the time being.
If stories about the Belgian star leaving Stamford Bridge start picking up pace, it’ll be an avenue to explore in more detail.
