Even though Davinson Sanchez seems to stand close to the exit door at Tottenham Hotspur, the club apparently won’t just let him go anywhere.
A story from Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra today claims that while the defender is currently on pre-season with Spurs’ squad in Australia, he’s sorting his future as well.
And it turns out there have been two bids made to Tottenham to sign the 27-year-old this summer: one from Spartak Moscow and one from Galatasaray.
The Russian club reportedly put €10m on the table, while the Turkish side offered €9m, and none of the bids were enough to convince Spurs of the sale.
Sierra adds that more clubs are interested in Sanchez, but those are still to make their attempts for the signing.
Sanchez is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €15m, and has his contract with Tottenham running until 2024.
That means Spurs risk losing the defender for free next year, and seem to be making a bold statement by not accepting those current offers.
We now shall see if the interested clubs will come forward with higher bids.
