Tottenham Hotspur are ‘really interested’ in signing Sevilla star Jules Koundé, according to La Colina de Nervión.

The north London club appointed Nuno Espírito Santo as their new manager and he’s identified the defender as his ‘priority’ target for this summer.

Spurs are looking to strengthen the centre-back position, especially with the possibility of losing Toby Alderweireld.

It’s claimed the north London club would propose an offer worth £50m [€58.3m], but this figure is short of the demands set by Sevilla sporting director Monchi.

As per the report, Monchi needs a fee close to the France international’s €80m release clause, if he were to sanction the player’s sale.

The outlet adds the Premier League side could be in a position to meet Sevilla’s demands, should they manage to earn in excess of €100m from a Harry Kane sale.

Spurs ‘don’t forget Koundé, and if they cannot find an agreement with Sevilla for his signing, then they will shift their focus to Inter Milan defender Milan Škriniar.
