Antonio Conte has wanted Tottenham to bring in reinforcements this month, yet with a week left of the January transfer window, Spurs are still looking to do their business.

Multiple reports, from both England and Spain, have indicated that Adama Traore is closing in on a move to the London club, although the completion of that deal doesn’t look imminent.

Calciomercato and TMW both now speak of a serious effort for Franck Kessie, who sees his AC Milan contract expire in the summer.

According to Calciomercato, Fabio Paratici, having listened to Conte’s pleas for reinforcements, has made moves to sign the midfielder ‘immediately’, rather than waiting until he’s a free agent at the end of June.

Paratici therefore contacted the Serie A club, and after a few days of negotiations, he ‘reached an agreement’ with the Rossoneri for a sale.

However, Kessie wants to wait until the summer, partly because Milan are in a battle to win the league, something he doesn’t want to miss out on.

TMW report similar, saying the player wants to stay where he is until the summer, regardless of whether he agrees a renewal or not.
