Earlier today, we covered a report that Tottenham were making moves to try and sign Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen.
We mentioned in that article that Spurs were also in talks for Micky van de Ven, who appears to be an alternative to the Burkina Faso international at this moment in time.
Well, TuttoMercatoWeb in Italy claim Tottenham have gone a step further when it comes to the Dutchman, as a first bid has been made.
The website explain the situation and recall that Ange Postecoglou has requested at least one new centre-back at the London club, and that’s why they are ‘evaluating various profiles’.
When it comes to Van de Ven, it’s stated Tottenham ‘have put forward a proposal’ of €30m + bonuses for the VfL Wolfsburg man, although the Bundesliga side are ‘asking for €40m’.
That’s why it’s stated that if they raise their next offer, the Dutchman could head to London, although the Premier League club are also evaluating other avenues, such as the one for Max Kilman or Tapsoba’s teammate, Piero Hincapié.
