Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma are chasing Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Nico Elvedi.
The centre-back has three goals from 22 matches in all competitions this season and his form has not gone unnoticed.
According to Sportitalia, the 26-year-old is on the list of the players observed by the Serie A side and Tottenham are also after him.
The Switzerland international has a deal expiring in 2024 and could leave the Bundesliga side after this season. The Giallorossi are monitoring his situation and must ‘beware of fierce competition from Tottenham’ to secure his services.
Journalist Alfredo Pedullà reported this for Sportitalia and he’s provided more information on this case on his website.
Alfredo Pedullà explains Roma and Antonio Conte’s side like the defender who has done really well for Gladbach, to an extent that his future will be decided in the coming months.
Mönchengladbach have offered the player an extension but haven’t managed to agree a deal with him so far. The German club will try again but if there’s no success, they will think about selling him in the summer.
Roma and Tottenham have shown interest in signing Elvedi in the summer. He’s currently valued between €15m and €20m.
