Voetbal International reckon Tottenham Hotspur have scheduled a press conference for Tuesday to announce the signing of Vincent Janssen, something they’re calling a ‘mega deal’.

Tottenham and Eredivisie club AZ had for over a week struggled to find agreement on a transfer fee, with it being suggested more than once that currency fluctuation became an issue between the side.

Interestingly, Voetbal International say the headline €22m figure includes bonuses. That sounds like a middle ground was found which will be pleasing to both clubs.

The bonuses are linked to the success of Tottenham, rather than simply the player. It’s stated that whilst wages have already been agreed with Jansse, the length of his contract still remain up for discussion.

A choice between 4 and 6 years could lead to a 5 year deal with an extra year option, although there’s no mention who would have the power to enforce that.
