On Wednesday, Area Napoli reported Tottenham Hotspur have made a first approach for Federico Chiesa. A day later, Tutto Juve stated the Premier League side can offer him a deal worth €6m per year.

The Italy international’s deal lasts until 2025 and there’s no sign of him renewing his contract with the Serie A side.

At this moment in time, the forward is ‘destined’ to leave Juve and Tottenham could be an option for him this summer, according to Calciomercato.it.

The 26-year-old was on an extended period of leave after his involvement in the Euros with the national team.

He’s set to return to the club for pre-season training on Tuesday, and their technical director, Cristiano Giuntoli, will have to sort out Chiesa’s future.

AS Roma had initially shown interest, but this track is no longer hot and even the player isn’t keen on them. He’s been waiting for movements from the Premier League, where Spurs and Chelsea have shown interest in the last few days.

It’s claimed Tottenham ‘would prepare an offer’ to beat their London rivals to sign Chiesa. The report makes no mention of the fee Ange Postecoglou’s side would propose, but state Juve need €25m to sanction the transfer.

On that, it’s worth noting some Italian reports have put the asking price lower, and Tottenham could get a deal done for €20m or less given Chiesa’s contract ends next year.
