With Fabio Paratici now officially in charge of transfer business at Tottenham, we are going to see a lot of Serie A players be linked with a move to London.

There were a few beforehand, mind, with Mikkel Damsgaard, currently at Sampdoria, being one of them.

The Denmark international has been linked with a move to Spurs ever since José Mourinho was in charge, and yet the arrival of Paratici at the helm won’t change the interest in the player.

SampNews24.com have an article on the matter on Monday, claiming Tottenham are ‘preparing a new assault’ for the winger, who is currently at the Euros with his national team.

Paratici is said to be following him ‘closely’, and while Sampdoria ‘have no intention’ of selling the forward, they could ‘waver’ in front of an offer ‘superior to €20m’.

They aren’t the only ones wanting him either, with both Inter and Juventus mentioned as more local competition for Spurs, who now know the ballpark fee to get their man.
