Dušan Vlahović has over 18 months left on his contract at Fiorentina and has refused to sign an extension, resulting in reports linking him to clubs across Europe.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City are named as the Serie A star’s suitors from England.

Earlier this week, Calciomercato reported the Gunners and Pep Guardiola’s side have ‘shown some interest’, but Spurs are ahead of their English rivals in the race for the 21-year-old’s transfer.

It was also stated the north London club are Juventus’ ‘main rival’ to sign the goalscoring frontman.

Journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoweb, explains La Viola are planning to bring in a winger and a striker in January.

Regarding the Serbia international’s future, he says ‘there is no news’. Fiorentina chief Rocco Commisso will ‘take stock’ of the situation from club chiefs, Joe Barone and Daniele Pradè.

Ceccarini claims both Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici have identified Vlahović as the centre forward for the future and the ‘ideal heir’ to Harry Kane, who is ‘destined to leave’ next summer, with Manchester City in ‘pole position’ to sign the England striker.

He further adds Spurs and Juve are ‘preparing the assault’ to acquire Vlahović ’s services. Although Tottenham and the Old Lady have plans for January, it is ‘very unlikely’ for the Serbian to leave Fiorentina in the mid-season window.
