Following the initial reports saying Jorge Sampaoli wanted Bryan Gil back at Sevilla, even the player’s father seems on board with the operation to take him away from Tottenham Hotspur.
That’s revealed today by Estadio Deportivo, who managed to have a word with Alfonso Gil about this story.
It’s first claimed that Bryan Gil’s dad didn’t want to speak about the rumours, with him only saying he’s aware of everything that is surrounding the player at Tottenham, as he speaks to his son every day.
But when talking Sevilla, Alfonso made it clear there are big feelings for the Nervion side: “Sevilla is his home and Sampaoli has been chasing him for three years now.”
Bryan Gil’s transfer from Tottenham is now seen as more ‘feasible’ by the Spanish media, and Estadio Deportivo take claims from Canal Sur Radio which detail that. It’s said the winger could return to Sevilla on a loan where he’d be registered as an U21 player.
Gil came through the system at Sevilla, and they’d therefore be able to count him as a youth product.
The youngster has played 306 minutes for Tottenham this season, and at this stage, it seems a loan to his former club is the best scenario for all parties involved.
