Tottenham Hotspur‘s Kōta Takai wants to secure a move to Sint-Truidense VV on deadline day.

Tottenham man already in Belgium
The Jupiler Pro League side want to sign the 21-year-old on a season-long loan deal, most likely without a purchase option/obligation.
Kōta Takai has already made a trip to Limburg, Belgium, on Monday to carry out medical tests.
This seems to be a surprise development because Sint-Truidense VV haven’t yet found the final agreement with Spurs.
The newspaper states Tottenham Hotspur have to still finalise the operation for the Japan international’s deadline move. That hasn’t stopped him from undergo medical tests.
Loïc Mbe Soh, who joined the Belgian club in January, has left them for Sparta Prague last week. His sale has seen Sint-Truidense look for a new centre-back and are working on signing the Spurs defender.
This shows there’s confidence of getting this deal over the line, by reaching an agreement with the north London club.
Spurs player backed for bright future
The Premier League side signed Kōta Takai from Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale in July 2030. They overcame competition from several clubs, including FC Copenhagen.
Later that month, he suffered a foot injury, forcing him to spend 150 days away from the pitch. This mean the defender didn’t make an appearance for Tottenham Hotspur, who sent him on loan to Borussia Mönchengladbach in January.
He played 339 minutes from eight matches for the German club as an injury limited his playing time.
Since returning to Tottenham Hotspur, Roberto De Zerbi didn’t include him in his core plans.
Therefore, a loan move to Sint-Truidense can help him feature regularly this season. He has a contract with Spurs until 2030.
Although he’s yet to make debut for Tottenham, there’s total confidence of Takai having a bright future.
