Struggling for minutes at Tottenham, the idea for Bryan Gil this window, at least in the last week, was to find him a new club on loan.

A couple of Spanish sides came knocking for the former Sevilla man, and Valencia are the ones who have secured a deal with Spurs for the winger.

It was advanced going into Monday, and now it’s on the verge of being done, as Marca in Spain have spotted the player at the airport.

He’s already arrived in Spain, as Radio Marca Valencia have a video of the player arriving at Manises airport, with his next step being ‘undergo the medical’.

Then will be ‘signing his contract’, which will be for a loan until the end of the season, which Tottenham will hope will see him get a number of minutes to aid his development before potentially returning to Antonio Conte’s side ready to fight for a spot in the Italian manager’s squad next season.

Either that, or they renegotiate a deal for a loan extension for next season.

It was always going to be a signing for the future, and now the London side are trying to ensure his progress isn’t stalled.
