Tottenham Hotspur striker Randal Kolo Muani has been warned he faces a ‘barrage of boos’ from Eintracht Frankfurt fans this week.

BILD cover the striker today and the bitter memory he left behind when he joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2023.

The Germans received €95m for the striker but were left without a replacement for him at the last minute. Muani, though, had forced his way out via a strike and fallen completely out of favour with Eintracht and their fans.

He clearly wasn’t concerned about the situation he was leaving the Bundesliga club in, and that hasn’t been forgotten.

This week sees him return to Frankfurt for the first time, with Tottenham. That’s largely been overlooked, probably because Eintracht fans have bigger problems. They’re without a coach, can’t progress in the Champions League and are fearful of a thrashing. Kolo Muani’s return is just a footnote to all that.

In fact, BILD predict a ‘barrage of boos’ coming his way from the stands, should he actually appear. That will depend on Tottenham manager Thomas Frank.

Kolo Muani has been unable to nail down a place under him this season, alternating between the bench and the starting 11 so far. The Dane may be reluctant to use him again, particularly in such a hostile atmosphere.

Ansgar Knauff was a teammate of Kolo Muani, and he’s waiting to see what happens: “I’m curious to see how it goes. I’m looking forward to seeing him again. We did play together, after all. So much happened surrounding his exit back then, he won’t receive such a warm welcome from the fans now.”
