Spending seven years at Tottenham, Christian Eriksen was a fan favourite during his time at the London club, and he could very well end up returning there.

That’s what the transfer rumour mill has been suggested following the player’s Premier League comeback with Brentford, and there are many at Spurs who would be happy to see him go back there.

One of those is newcomer Dejan Kulusevski, who was signed by Tottenham on loan from Juventus for 18 months during the January transfer window, and who plays for Sweden, a neighbouring nation to Eriksen’s Denmark.

Currently with his national team, the 22-year-old was asked about teaming up with Eriksen at Spurs by the local press, relayed by Fotbollskanalen.

He said: “He is most welcome. He’s an incredible player and a fantastic person as well. I know him a little from before.”

Signing for Brentford in January for just six months, Eriksen is currently free to talk to other clubs, but he hasn’t ruled out staying put either.

Perhaps it’s time for Kulusevski to pick up the phone and try and convince him that a move to Tottenham would benefit everyone involved?
