On Monday we covered comments from Dejan Kulusevski, as the Tottenham Hotspur player made it clear he wasn’t happy with Spurs’ post-season trip to Australia.
The Sweden international had more reason to be annoyed than most, he became a father in April and is conscious about making the most of the early days with his young family.
Perhaps thankfully for that scenario, Sweden have failed to make it to Euro 2024, but they’re still having a national team camp right now. Friendlies are scheduled against Denmark and Serbia for the coming days, and then Kulusevski can finally have a break.
And just where will the Premier League star’s family go with their near limitless funds? Stockholm. The 24-year-old is from the city and wants to cherish some time off with his loved ones.
Göteborgs-Posten cover him talking about becoming a father and his plans for the next few weeks: “Great fun. You still want to be there, but when you’re here you want to do your best. You know you miss a lot at home.
“It (his holiday) will just be a lot of time with the family and getting to know our daughter. We should just be at home and get to know each other.”
Kulusevski is also happy on a professional level and thinks he’s made advances with Tottenham in the recently concluded season: “I feel that I have personally taken incredible steps, become so much better. I am happy and satisfied.”
On what has got better: “Everything. How I see the game, my physique.”
