It appears that the main story surrounding Tottenham’s Bryan Gil between now and the end of the transfer window is going to be whether or not he goes to Lazio.
Maurizio Sarri was already interested in the winger over the summer, but a deal never took place, as there was hope the Spaniard could convince Ange Postecoglou, which hasn’t been the case.
Lazio have come back to the fore as an interested party following some enquiries from the likes of Fiorentina, and Corriere dello Sport bring the latest surrounding the Tottenham forward in their Wednesday edition.
While the likes of Rafa Silva and Antonio Candreva are targets, it’s said that Gil also remains on their list, as long as he is not ‘suddenly sold’.
They recall that the Tottenham player was ‘proposed’ to the Italian side back in the summer, when Sarri was initially interested, but there is currently ‘no news of openings’.
As things stand, Gil is hoping to move away from Spurs after spending ‘six months spent on the bench’, during which he has played very little, with the 22-year-old totalling a measly 217 minutes of football this season in all competitions.
The problem for Lazio is that the Tottenham player also ‘has offers in the Premier League’, with it added that he is currently ‘evaluating them’, suggesting he could stay in England, although not with his current club.
