Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Inter Milan fullback Denzel Dumfries today gets a mention in the Italian media.
A report on Rudy Galetti’s website points out Spurs are one of the clubs chasing the 26-year-old, and the signing is apparently a request from Antonio Conte.
The story claims that the Tottenham manager is looking for a new right-back, as Emerson Royal ‘does not convince’ him.
Dumfries then becomes the alternative, and according to the report, Inter Milan are set to evaluate offers of €30m or higher.
That price, however, should go up because of the big competition there is from Premier League sides to sign Dumfries. The story says Chelsea have been in ‘continuous contacts’ with the Serie A club, while Manchester United have also ‘taken information on the price’.
That means Tottenham shall need to spend big on that signing, as despite not liking to use Emerson Royal on the right-back, Antonio Conte continues to line-up the Brazilian as a clear message he’s short of options for the position, with Matt Doherty not being a favourite either.
