For the past few days, claims from Italy have stated Juventus have identified Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg as a target to bolster their midfield.
It was also reported the 28-year-old’s agent has knocked on the Serie A side’s door for a potential deal in January.
According to Calciomercato, the Serie A side have a clear idea to improve their midfield with the Tottenham player and OGC Nice’s Khéphren Thuram.
With regards to the Denmark international, it’s claimed Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli will ‘make an attempt’ to sign him on a loan deal in January, and another one for Thuram next summer.
The Old Lady won’t have it easy to secure Højbjerg’s services because he has ‘no shortage of admirers’, with Atlético Madrid also in the mix.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who state the Turin club will face competition from Atlético Madrid to land him in the winter market. Los Rojiblancos ‘already tried’ to sign the Dane in the last window and would be in the mix again in January.
Højbjerg has made six appearances this season and that includes only one start, which came in Tottenham’s EFL Cup defeat to Fulham.
