Radu Dragusin may be yet to make a name for himself at Tottenham Hotspur, but he continues to be a constant topic in the Romanian media.
Today, it’s Fanatik who features a story about the defender, and to no one’s surprise, it’s his agent who has been speaking about him.
Representative Florin Manea this time revealed that Dragusin would like to build a football academy in the future. The Tottenham player is said to be planning to ‘give back as much as possible’.
“We actually had a meeting with someone to help us do these things. He wants to invest time in the things he’s passionate about and then we’ll probably come up with some stuff,” said Manea.
“We would like an academy in the future, especially for him. I’d like to do that, but for now we have to cement our situation here. Then we can think about other things. “
Manea also talked about Dragusin’s current time at Tottenham, claiming the player is focused on earning his place in the team.
“For now, the only thing on his mind is to play well, match by match. To get as many minutes as possible.”
The reason why Dragusin continues to be a topic in the Romanian media is that he recently became the most expensive Romanian player ever, with Tottenham investing €25m to sign him from Genoa in January.
He only made four appearances for Spurs so far, though, and is still to get his first start at the club.
He was brought early into the second half against Aston Villa because of the injury to Micky van de Ven, so Ange Postecoglou may now give him a bit more time while the Dutchman recovers.
