Tottenham dropping Bryan Gil’s asking price could put him ‘within reach of Sevilla’ and tempt them into moving for him this month.
That’s according to Vamos Mi Sevilla, who say that director of football Victor Orta could move for the Tottenham man if he is able to get rid of more players this month to open up space.
They explain that recent reports Tottenham have dropped Gil’s asking price to €7-8m, with the winger wanting a permanent exit this month if it’s made clear he won’t be a regular under Ange Postecoglou.
If that is the case then it would make him a ‘very interesting market opportunity’ for Sevilla, who already had the player as a youngster and took him back on loan last season.
At that figure, with him still only 22 years old and with plenty of time left to develop into the player may believe he can be, he would fit into what Sevilla ‘intends with their future’.
In other words, he would be a low-cost, potentially high ceiling transfer that the club used to be very good at and largely built their success on in the past.
It remains to be seen if they make a move, but Vamos Mi Sevilla say Gil would be open to it, as he is ‘looking forward’ to returning to Spain and would be ‘delighted’ to play for Sevilla once again.
There’s a deal there to be done, but it all rests on Tottenham and whether their asking price is what has been reported.
