Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence is soon set to complete a move to Genoa, according to multiple reports from Italy.
The 23-year-old was on loan at Leeds United in the first half of this season but Spurs are now sending him to Serie A.
Gianluca Di Marzio states the defender arrived in the Italian city late on Wednesday to join Genoa on a loan deal.
On Thursday morning, the former Middlesbrough man will undergo medical tests and then sign his contract with the Italian club. He’s been included in the operation that will see Genoa star Radu Drăgușin join Tottenham for €25m plus €6m bonuses.
TuttoMercatoWeb state Genoa are ‘ready to welcome’ the Tottenham player, to fill in the void left by Silvan Hefti, who joined Marseille earlier this month.
They also claim the fullback is in the Italian city and his medical visits are ‘scheduled’ for Thursday morning. TMW add Spence will join Genoa on a loan deal with an option to buy set at €10m.
Earlier in the season, Spence missed over two months with an injury and that resulted in him making only seven appearances for Leeds.
