If Giovani Lo Celso was hoping he’d be of great use to Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur this season, he’s probably already realised that won’t be the case.
After having just 16 minutes on the pitch in the game against Bournemouth, and playing 45 minutes versus Fulham in the EFL Cup, it seems clear he again won’t have many chances in London.
That’s why, according to Fichajes, Lo Celso is already planning his transfer out of Tottenham.
The outlet writes that the midfielder has ‘made clear his desire’ to leave Spurs in January and join Real Betis, and he and his agents are ‘working hard’ to seal his exit.
The story claims Lo Celso has actually received offers from other clubs, but he’s shown his preference for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, as be believes he’d have enough playing time there.
Fichajes recall that Betis already tried to sign him in the summer, an effort that was stopped by Tottenham’s demands. The new attempt now depends on how well fresh negotiations will go, but it seems more obvious now that the club don’t need him, and he’s keen on playing somewhere else.
The La Liga side are said to be ‘attentive’ to the situation before making a move to try and secure Lo Celso in the winter market.
