Tottenham Hotspur are ‘interested’ in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Adama Traoré, reports Sport on Monday.
The north London club looked at the winger in January, before he joined Barcelona on a loan deal until the end of the season.
As part of the deal between the La Liga side and Wolves, the former have an option to buy the Spain international for €30m.
Bruno Lage’s side, meanwhile, have Francisco Trincão on loan from the Catalan club and his buying option is also set at €30m.
It’s claimed Xavi Hernández’s side are not ready to retain Traoré by paying a fee to Wolves. Therefore, ‘except for an unlikely change of plans’, his future is likely to be in the Premier League, where Spurs are in the picture to sign him.
Both the Spaniard and Trincão are represented by Jorge Mendes and while the agent, Wolves and Barca ‘try to reach an agreement’ involving the two players, there are other clubs ‘on the lookout’ for Traoré.
One of them is Tottenham, who have been ‘behind him for some time’.
Although Spurs are ‘interested’ in Traoré, Sport state Antonio Conte’s side are ‘waiting’ to find out how his situation at Barcelona will be resolved.
