Fenerbahçe’s İsmail Yüksek has impressed Tottenham Hotspur during their recent scouting mission.
That’s according to Fotomaç, who state the north London club were in Belgium to watch the Yellow Canaries’ UEFA Europa Conference League match against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise last week.
Tottenham’s scout was there to monitor Union Saint-Gilloise star Mohamed Amoura and were pleased with Yüksek’s performance.
The midfielder played the full 90 minutes in his side’s 3-0 win over the Belgian club and has convinced Spurs’ officials.
Fenerbahçe will host the Jupiler Pro League side in the return leg later this week, and it’s claimed Tottenham’s officials have ‘booked a place’ to watch the 25-year-old again.
Fotomaç further add Tottenham will continue to monitor the Turkey international against Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Cup next month.
Spurs will collect reports on the defensive midfielder and Ange Postecoglou will then make a decision on Yüksek. If the English club’s manager were to give approval, they will knock on the Istanbul club’s door to sign the player.
Yüksek’s deal lasts until 2027 and the report says he’s currently valued at €7.5m.
Fanatik also state Tottenham will continue to monitor him this week and then approach Fenerbahçe in the summer if Postecoglou gives approval to sign Yüksek.
