It appears that Montpellier in France are really hoping that Tottenham sell Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the coming days.
That’s because, according to Midi Libre, there is almost an expectations that Spurs, if they do offload the England international, will come forward for Elye Wahi.
Tottenham’s interest in the forward is nothing new, as many reports in France over the past six months have suggested the London side are interested in the 20-year-old.
However, Midi Libre spoke to the Ligue 1 side’s president, Laurent Nicollin, on Wednesday, who told them that Chelsea’s latest bid of €25m including bonuses for the young forward wasn’t enough.
Then, the local newspaper add that ‘other offers should arrive in the near future’, including ‘one from Tottenham, expected in the next few hours’.
They do then mention that the English media linked the player to Tottenham back in mid-February, but what they said before was clearly fresh information.
Whether or not Spurs do come forward remains to be seen, but if they do sell Harry Kane this summer, they will have the money to satisfy Montpellier.
