Tottenham “could offer Emerson Royal” as part of a deal to sign Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries in the January transfer window.
That’s according to journalist Marco Barzaghi, who says €50m may be enough to secure the Dutchman’s signature.
Dumfries has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League again in the last few weeks after impressing for the Netherlands at the World Cup.
Inter Milan are also seemingly open to a sale as they line up another big exit to help balance the books and do their own transfer business.
Tottenham have been named as suitors for Dumfries, with Antonio Conte not happy with his options at right back despite spending to sign Djed Spence from Middlesbrough in the summer.
Conte worked alongside Dumfries at Inter Milan, helped develop him into the player he is today, and is reportedly keen on a reunion to fix the right-back problem at Tottenham.
That would require a big spend to convince Inter to sell but Barzaghi says Emerson Royal could be included to help with that issue.
“Dumfries had a star turn at the World Cup, with goals and assists,” he told his YouTube channel, relayed by FC Inter 1908.
“Given the prices that are circulating, 60 million could fit, but even 50 million could be good. A bidding war cannot be ruled out with Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
“(They) could offer the Moroccan flanker Mazraoui as a quid pro quo, but he costs and could fetch around 20 million. Tottenham is also on the player and could offer Emerson Royal.”
