Tottenham Hotspur were among the clubs linked with Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskyi in the last window.
On Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported the north London club are expected to hold talks with the Serie A side for the 29-year-old. It was also stated Spurs don’t lack the money to sign him in January.
Gazzetta’s claim is backed up by Calciomercato, who state Tottenham are in the running to secure the attacking midfielder’s services.
The Ukraine international, who was expected to leave in the summer, is again on the agenda of other clubs for the winter market. That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who name the Premier League side in their report.
It’s further explained Antonio Conte’s side are now in ‘pole position’ to sign Malinovskyi in January.
Tottenham’s interest in Malinovskyi is detailed by another report from Calciomercato. In a short update, the outlet states the possibility to sign Gian Piero Gasperini’s man can become ‘more concrete’ for the next window following the exploratory contacts in the summer.
Conte seems to be a fan of Malinovskyi and is keen to take the player to Tottenham. Time will tell whether Spurs will be successful in January.
