Before all the stories about Radu Dragușin and Tottenham’s attempts to sign him emerged, Jean-Clair Todibo was seen as the man to sign.
Spurs were heavily linked for a little while, before moving onto the Romania international and other targets, but that doesn’t mean they have given up on the Frenchman.
This comes from RMC Sport, who look at the interested clubs pursuing the centre-back, among which can be found Tottenham.
Manchester United and Chelsea are the other two, and the player is seen as a ‘real option’ for them, but the general consensus is that he will remain put until the summer.
As for Tottenham, it’s recalled they made him their ‘priority’ a few months, ago, and they are ‘likely to come back’ for him next summer, at a time when they will have a bit more money in their coffers to meet OGC Nice’s likely large asking price.
In short, they haven’t forgotten about him, and it’s even stated that Todibo’s profile is ‘highly regarded internally’ at Spurs, who might still be in the market for another defender in the next transfer window, regardless of whether or not they land Dragușin in January.
