On Friday, Calciomercato stated Emerson Royal is waiting for a call from AC Milan to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Serie A side have made the first formal bid to Tottenham for the right-back.
He hasn’t mentioned the details of their proposal, but states it’s ‘far from’ Spurs’ valuation of €20m.
According to Di Marzio, the coming week or the next 10 days ‘will be decisive’ for Milan to possibly find an agreement with Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Gazzetta dello Sport also say the Italian club have tabled a formal offer of €15m including bonuses.
Spurs haven’t taken the 25-year-old’s desire to leave this summer into account, and have turned down Milan’s offer. This hasn’t surprised Milan as they weren’t expecting white smoke, meaning they didn’t think Tottenham would accept their initial proposal.
Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani, director Geoffrey Moncada and consultant Zlatan Ibrahimović aren’t worried despite reaching an agreement with the Brazilian.
The San Siro club ‘can afford to stall’ given than they have Alessandro Florenzi and Davide Calabria as the two right-backs in their squad. Florenzi is likely to leave if Milan were to end up signing Emerson.
With Di Marzio insisting the next week will be decisive, there could be more developments in the coming days.
