As Evan Ndicka prepares to play at the World Cup, Tottenham, Newcastle United and Bournemouth are interested in signing him.
The Ivory Coast defender has been one of AS Roma’s best players since joining in 2023. In the 2025/26 campaign, he played over 40 times in all competitions, playing a big role in their return to the Champions League for the first time in over five years.
Consistency has been Ndicka’s hallmark and this has previously attracted interest from a host of English clubs. Sport Witness have covered his situation extensively, which was rather secure until last year.
Now, Roma can be forced into a sale due to FFP reasons. Tottenham, Newcastle United and Bournemouth have been told to take advantage.
Player could receive calls
Gazzetta dello Sport report the Ivorian could be quite busy during the World Cup. This isn’t just because he will be key for the national team but also due to how clubs are likely to come calling for him. He is ready to receive calls and Roma may have to sell him by June 30th.
Ndicka is a target for Tottenham, Newcastle United and Bournemouth. None of them will be playing in the Champions League but the newspaper believes they have the money to sign him.
There is also an increasing belief that his time at Roma is up. The Italian side’s price tag currently stands at €40m but they could be happy to negotiate.
This is mainly because they signed him on a free transfer in 2023. Anything they earn from his sale will go down as a capital gain and that will go a long way in helping Roma meet their settlement demands with FFP in the summer.
Tottenham may not need Ndicka
The 26-year-old has done enough to to earn a big move. His ability on the ball, recovery and leadership has always been a standout, making him a complete defender.
At the same time, Tottenham may not really need him. Jan Paul Van Hecke is expected to come in, with Marcos Senesi already having joined.
As a result, a move to Newcastle United or Bournemouth would make more sense for Ndicka. The Cherries have parted ways with Senesi and the Ivorian can come in as an upgrade.
He will add much needed depth to the Magpies, considering Sven Botman’s regular injury worries.
