On Thursday, AS reported Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs considering a late move for Atlético Madrid’s Conor Gallagher this summer.
Friday’s edition of Marca reports Tottenham are ‘stalking’ the midfielder and then provides the La Liga club’s stance on letting him leave.
Los Rojiblancos consider they have finished their business in this window and Gallagher is the only one who could change that.
They are prepared for a possible approach from the Premier League before Monday’s deadline. He’s name has been linked to several English clubs, with no bids so far.
Marca report Tottenham appear to be one of the ‘most interested’ clubs, and the Madrid club are preparing themselves for the possibility of a potential offer from the north London club.
Diego Simeone’s side intend to retain the 25-year-old and if they were to receive a bid, it has to be a big offer to have a chance of success. Otherwise, there’ll be no deal.
The newspaper reports Atlético would need an offer between €50-60m, considering they paid €42m for him a year ago. That feels wildly ambitious and it’s likely they’d accept back what they paid.
