The fact Tanguy Ndombélé didn’t play all that much under José Mourinho certainly didn’t go unnoticed, and there was a reason for that.
It was revealed the two didn’t get along all that well at Tottenham, which has led to a number of rumours about the Frenchman’s future.
Paris Saint-Germain have always held an interest in the former Lyon player, and that hasn’t changed, as explained by TF1’s Julien Maynard.
The journalist took to social media to explain the situation, first reiterating that the relationship between Ndombélé and Mourinho was ‘complex’, which has led to the midfielder ‘questioning his future’.
In fact, he goes as far as saying a ‘transfer this summer is being considered’, and Tottenham ‘wouldn’t be opposed to it in case of an important offer’.
In a second tweet, Maynard reveals a number of clubs have already asked about the player, including Barcelona and Juventus.
As for Paris Saint-Germain, it’s more the club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi who likes Ndombélé, while Leonardo, their technical director, appears to, ‘for now, prioritise other avenues’.
