Tottenham Hotspur have met with Roma chief Tiago Pinto in London as they continue to search for Fabio Paratici’s replacement at the club.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say the Portuguese director of football is on Daniel Levy’s list of options to fill the role at Spurs.
They explain that Tottenham have been ‘having numerous talks’ in recent weeks to try and find the right man to lead their efforts in the transfer market and find ‘crucial pawns for the future’.
They’re currently looking at a number of options and one of the hypotheses that has ‘emerged’ and is ‘deepening’ is that of Roma chief Pinto.
He is on the list of possible candidates to replace Paratici and Tottenham ‘have spoken’ to him, even holding a meeting in London to discuss a possible move. According to TMW’s information, it was Levy who included Pinto on the list of potential candidates.
This follows reports that Levy had mandated an intermediary to get in touch with Pinto about a possible move.
At the moment he is just one of a number being looked at and there’s no indication how well those talks in London went, just that they happened.
It means Pinto is a name to keep an eye on in the coming weeks, with Tottenham making moves as they try to wrap up a new director of football and a manager ahead of next season.
